Prostate Cancer Prostate cancer is a common form of cancer that has affected most every man whether he knows it or not. There are many factors and risks that can lead to this deadly cancer. With the help of highly trained docters,fatalities can be can be lowered,yet sometimes things still happen. Prostate cancer is the cancer of the male reproductive organ.The prostate make prosthetic fluid.The prostate also forms semen,but the most important function of the prostate is to regulate the acidity of the semen. Cancer is the collection of abnormal cells that have forgotten how to die. Cancer cells unlike normal cells can not die. One way to find out if you have the cancer or if you do not have the cancer is called a prostate exam. The exam is basically a feel of the back wall of the prostate gland. What the doctor is trying to feel for is any hard nodules, lumps or irregularities. You shouldn't have to have a annual exam, but it just depends how experienced your doctor is. If the doctor finds an irregularity, u shouldn't wait for it to change. When you are a child your prostate is about the size of a pea.The body begins to make large amounts of male hormones during puberty causing the prostate to grow rapidly.About ninety five percent of the hormone is produced by the testicles.Once your prostate has reached normal size it stops growing until u have reached your sixties or seventys.This slow increase leads to the condition called bengign prosthetic hyperplasia.This is rarely a threat to your health ,but it can me extremely uncomfortable. There are many stages of prostate cancer,early stages and late stages.The classic stages are A,B,C and D. The a stage consist of cancer found incidentally or because of elevated PSA. The b stage of cancer is made up of cancer found because of abnormal digital rectal exam; cancer confined to prostate. The C cancer is cancer spread to tissues outside of the prostate. Finally the D cancer is cancer that has spread to lymph nodes or the bone. It is better to have one degree than the other.?It is always better to have a smallvolume,low grade tumor than a lager,high-grade cancer?says Dr. Sheldon Marks book Prostate and Cancer. There is a unique feature of cancer cells. Cancer cells have the ability to detach theirselves from their original site and move to other parts of the body.This is a process that is just recently beginning to be understood. Under normal circumstances prostate cell is confined to the prostate,but when the cell becomes cancerous it is able to leave its birthplace and take up residence in other parts of the body. ?This ability to shed celled and establish satellite or daughter cancer colonies in other parts of the body is known as the process of metastasis? says Dr.Marc B. Garnick's book The Patients Guide to Prostate Cancer. As I just discussed cancer cell have the potential to spread throughout the body. When prostate cancer is in early stages it is confined within the prostate. It is in these early stages when prostate cancer is curable. As the cancer grows it heads towards the edge of the prostate. If it has enough time it can grow through the outer edge of the prostate . This is called the prostate capsule.? This is known as ?extra capsular extension? says Dr.Kent Wallner's book Prostate Cancer. Prostate cancer is either curable or incurable. The way you can tell if the cancer is curable is if the cancer is still confined . If the cancer is still confined in the ate it is considered curable. Prostate cancer that has metastasized to the lymph nodes or to the bones is considered incurable. This means if the cancer has spread outside the prostate and infected these parts it is incurable. There are six major treatments for curing prostate cancer. The first treatment is called cryosurgery. Cryosurgery is the freezing of the prostate gland. The second major treatment is seed implantation. This is simply placing radioactive seeds in the prostate gland. The third major treatment is hypothermia. Hypothermia is when heat is applied to the prostate gland,and this will shrink the cancer. This will eventually destroy the cancer. The fourth major treatment is Radical prostatectomy. This is the sergical removel of the cancerous prostate gland. The fifth mahor treatment is called external beam radiation therapy. This is when the prostate is shot at by beams of focused x-rays. The purpose of this is to shrink the cancer infected cells. The sixth and last major treatment is the Bilateral orchiectomy. This is the surgical removel of the testes

Some people starved trying to find work, while others did all they could to just hang on a little longer. Across America, all had tough times. The stress brought on by the depression took its toll on family members in poor households. Throughout the book there are strong references to the many forms of prejudice that were and still are present, such as classism and racism. The book demonstrates how the people at this time were hypocritical when it came to racism. It shows peoples ignorance and ability to pigeonhole others. It illustrates attempts to break prejudicial barriers and the effects of prejudice on the community. Prejudice is directed at v arious characters during the book, each time new forms and effects are clear. The first sign of prejudice in the novel is when the Finch Children raid Boo Radleys home. They have judged him on rumours they have heard and describe him like an animal. There was a long jagged scar that ran across his face; what teeth he had were yellow and rotten; his eyes popped, and he drooled most of the time. The children treat him with little respect and great fear when they creep up to his house. Boo is the victim of the communities abuse because he is a recluse. Kroc trusted a bunch of novice franchisees. Kroc may have been confident, but not completely naà ¯ve. He slowly distributed the stroes, testing and training the franchisees and requiring them to meet his excruciating standards for QSCV. Because other companies were eager to collect big bucks fast, they sold off vast statewide territories to rich speculators. Kroc sold just one at a time and refused to sell a second franchise to an operator unless his performance was stellar. Wanted the corporation to have control over its franchisees, the local business people who paid the corporation to run its restaurants. Other chains let franchisees buy the right to open as many stores in a region as they could. Kroc sold his franchisees just one store, so he could make sure they kjnew how to run a McDonalds the way he wanted it run. He made sure his franchisees did well, their success served his interests, since the corporation earned money on their restaurants sales. Also, from his background knowledge of being a successful salesman, he understood that he would not be a supplier to his franchisees, for it would jeopardize the relationships between the two because of profits. Suppliers Kroc wanted to tame his suppliers by making them rich. He wanted better prices and better quality. . Ray Krocs plan to do business with outside suppliers was giving many small but new companies a chance to make a profit on high volume orders. Kroc negotiated better deals with small suppliers who were hungry for his emerging business. Kraft had the McDonalds cheese account early on, but when Kroc requested a sharper- tasting cheddar for the burgers, Kraft was too busy or too comfortable to develop a new recipe. When Kroc went looking for good-quality beef, major players like Armour and Swift refused to extend credit. So Kroc made mulitimillionaires of the quick and hungry suppliers. When Kraft failed him, Kroc turned to a cheesehead in Green Bay, Wisconsin, named L.D. Schreiber. Today the Schreiber company is a multibillionaire dollar firm. Kroc could not negotiate great deals with Wesson oil and Procter Gamble. Instead he turned an upstart named Harry Smargon into a very rich man. Staff McDonalds saw the importance of doing an internal marketing plan. Explaining that external plans and programs will not be as successful if you put the outside world before your own people. London sets an average, middle-aged logger in a deserted Yukon trail during a wintry season. The temperature is seventy-five degrees below zero and the logger and his husky are traveling towards Henderson Creek, about ten miles away, where the logger's companions are located. London places the man in this Yukon environment to symbolize that in this cold, cruel world, we need to learn how to benefit from each other. Prior to embarking on his journey, the logger is given advice from an old-timer at Sulfur Creek that "no man must travel alone in the Klondike after fifty below". The logger thinks this is "rather womanish" and believes he can survive by himself. Along his journey, the man encounters death as he falls into a spring, where "At a place where there were no signs, where the soft, unbroken snow seemed to advertise solidity beneath, the man broke through. It was not deep. He wet himself halfway up the knees before he floundered out to the firm crust". Then the man builds a fire beneath a tree and snow falls over it putting it out. London creates these natural events in the plot to prove they are not the cause of the man's death. Using characterization, London is able to display on account of who is alive at the end how one benefits from being social. The old-timer at Sulfur Creek is alive because he is experienced and wise enough to benefit from others' experiences that it is not wise to travel alone in the Yukon. Worst Day Of Life

The worst day of my life was when I lost my thumb it was very painful I was emotionally scared and I cant play video games like normal people. I lost my thumb when I was only a few years old and it hurt a lot. It got taken off in a bike chain. Thats how I lost my thumb. Im not able to play video games like normal people play. My thumb is always sliding off the buttons. It always hard to keep up when playing video games with my friends. Its really annoying to play. Im not as accurate when playing games. I always die a lot in the games I play. Also I lose a lot when Im playing two player games. I cant move my thumb as fast as normal people. I end up in last often in games. I get problems holding things. That is what disadvantages I have when playing video games. When I lost my thumb it was very painful. My thumb was ripped off painfully in a bike chain. I think I should have sued the people that made the stupid bike. When it fell off it was just sitting there and that was bad. When it got cut off it was gushing lots of blood. There was blood every where. When this happened the carpet was soaked in blood it was weird. Then they took me to the hospital and they stitched it up because they couldnt put it back on because it was cut into small pieces. They had to but a cast on to. It was different when they took it off because I didnt have a thumb and that was different. Thats what were some painful things about my thumb being ripped off. It emotionally sacred me for life. I was never the same. I couldnt hold a cup that easy. It made it hard to write. Ive always and forever be a freak. People call me a freak. Its really funny looking. Ill never be like the normal people. They laugh at my missing thumb. I cant always join into normal activities of normal people. Thats why I sacred for life forever. Thats why the worst day of my life was when I lost my thumb. It was bad because that was my most painful experience I have ever had. It sacred me emotionally forever. I can never be the same.

In an ideal world the four traditionally Christian virtues Mercy, Pity, Peace, and Love would be found in the human heart. During the industrial revolution, Flakes time, these virtues were replaced with the less perfect qualities of mankind; instead Cruelty, Jealousy, Terror, and Secrecy reigned supreme in the human heart. In Christian faith it is believed that mankind was made in Gods own image, we were perfect in all ways as we were made in Gods image but Eve ate rut from the tree of knowledge and then tempted Adam into doing the same even though they had been told not to, thus condemning future generations into a sinful existence. Since that moment humankind has been seen as sinful. We are born sinners. In the first poem Blake brings forth the beauty of mankind being created in Gods image and in the second we see the greater picture, we see how sinful and terrible mankind really is and that we truly are sinful creatures and are nothing of what the bible tells us to be. The world prays to Mercy, Pity, Peace, and Love in times f distress and thank them for blessings bestowed upon them as they are representative of God, our Father dear. Through the personification of these four virtues they are made more human, and so making us seem more divine, as though we are purer than we really are. Personification Is used In the same way In A Divine Image in Songs of Experience but coupled with a harsher grouping of words bring about a completely different effect. In the second poem Cruelty has a human heart, And Jealousy a human face; Terror the Human form divine, And Secrecy the human dress, it is much more than a stones throw from the Image created In the first poem. Mankind is depicted as a beast, a creature with Cruelty, Jealousy, Terror, and Secrecy reigning in its heart. In A Divine Image In Songs of Innocence Blake does not only bring up religious Idea of man being created In divine Image but also that Mercy, Pity, Peace, and Love are characteristics that man Is essentially born with regardless of his origin or belief since heathen, Turk or Jew, we are all created In the Lords Image and since Where Mercy, Love, and Pity dwell, There God Is dwelling too these characteristics must Ideally be found In each and every man, woman and child since we are all created In Gods Image. In the second poem, A Delve Image from Songs of Experience, Flakes choice of words reflect the world he lives In. A world plagued by a boom In the Industrial sector, growth which resulted In terrible child labor, prostitution and sickness, and many more atrocities. The words used In the second stanza make the poem seem Like an accusation, the words themselves are heavy as though they were Just as heavy as the goods of Iron forged. Blake highlights the words forged, Iron, fiery, forge, furnace, sealed, hungry and gorge through the alliteration used In fiery forge as well as the repetition on forge. Blake uses this poem, (Songs of Experience), to convey the truths of the social circumstances of his society during the Industrial revolution. He shows what humankind has become, Instead of being a species created In the Image of God; we had fallen to become some terrible Immoral creation.
